Elaine CarterElaine Carter is a registered nurse and educator at Partners Asthma Center. At Partners Asthma Educators Institute, she assists in coordinating Asthma Educator Course and presents current information on asthma and the use of devices for pediatric and adult patients. Ms. Carter is also a nurse educator for Partners Asthma Center at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Mass., where she is the care manager of high-risk asthmatic adult, adolescent and pediatric patients and helps to plan and implement asthma disease management programs. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Massachusetts in Boston and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in education from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Ms. Carter holds an Asthma Educator Certification and is an associate member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. She reports that she served on the speakers bureau for Genentech and Novartis.
